Brace yourselves – Bonehead is back open for sit down dining.
It wasn’t just good ol’ Jesus HC being resurrected over the Easter bank holiday, let me tell you.
This weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to the soft relaunch for everyone’s (bar a few plonkers) favourite fried chicken gaff, having been takeaway-only since the world lost its marbles.
I don’t want to spoil all the surprises (I’m nice like that, thank me later) but here’s a little taster of what you can expect when it opens again to the public officially on 21st April.
The place looks great – bigger and better than ever (the layout has changed a fair bit) and had a makeover. The bar space has changed entirely but the beer fridge of dreams is still in its rightful place and the playlist is ace.
All your favourites are still on the menu but there’s plenty of new additions to keep it interesting. The platters in particular offer lots of variety and are proper hefty. Go hungry, or wear your finest tabard.
So happy to see Big B finally back open, it’s been an age. Love to Sham and the gang (some of the nicest people you can meet) who’ve done a banging job. I particularly like the new wall of fame that I’m thrilled to feature on looking drunk and overexcited… undeniably on brand.
You can still find Bonehead next to Cherry Reds, just off John Bright Street. You’ll probably also find my husband there for the foreseeable – buy him a pint or he’ll tell you obscure music facts you don’t need to know. Again, thank me later.
Doors reopen 21/04/22 for walk ins only – expect it to be busy. Check out their page for updates about opening hours and the updated menu.
Best money I’ve spent on fried stuff in a long time. Welcome back 🖤
P.S I posted a behind the scenes video over on Instagram this week if you’d like to see a bit more of what you can expect.
