Swish city centre restaurant Opus is offering a great deal for lobster fans.
On Fridays and Saturdays during August guests can enjoy a two course lobster lunch for just £27.50. If you can go on a Tuesday it’s just £17.50 – yes, really.
I took myself to Opus this week for some self care (BYB style – includes food obviously) and had a lovely relaxed visit, with gorgeous food and flawless service from start to finish.
Me, myself and I enjoyed a summery starter of creamy goats cheese mousse followed by this whole grilled 1lb native lobster with hand-cut chips. Lots of sweet meat and plenty of garlic butter – just the way I like it.
If pulling apart seafood isn’t your thing you can have steak or mushroom wellington instead. It’s a steal for the price considering the service you receive, but you can also get 3 courses for a bit extra if you fancy dessert too.
The adjoining bar area is ideal for a post-lunch or pre-dinner cocktail if you’re so inclined. A 5-course tasting menu is available Friday and Saturday evenings – booking is essential and timings vary so check ahead.
There’s clear safety measures in place (tables are spread out and hand sanitiser can be found on entry and all tables) but it doesn’t feel intrusive. I’ve written about Opus before if you’d like to know more about the venue.
