The working day is over. It’s someone’s birthday. Your hamster is pregnant. Whatever your reason for seeking out a happy hour in Brum there’s plenty of options for you.
Like fancy cocktails? I got you. Prefer drinking wine like Keith Floyd? You got it. Want it to include a lamb curry? Well.. that’s oddly specific, Sharon, but I can still help you.
Below you’ll find some ace happy hour deals in Birmingham city centre to help you save money and live happy. There’s lots of independents on the list, some of which you may not even expect to offer such lovely treats.
Feel free to come and tell me your favourite (or point out any good ones I’ve missed) over on Instagram.

Vietnamese Street Kitchen, Bullring
This is a right bargain hunter’s dream of a deal. Running all day every day, you can get 2 cocktails for £10 from the huge list, and you can mix and match. Enjoy them in the bar above the restaurant area under the colourful lanterns or on the sunny terrace.
The Florence, City Centre
Slap bang between Snow Hill and JQ you’ll find The Florence and a pretty sweet happy hour if you’re a cocktail fan. There’s a 241 offer and you can mix and match – because who doesn’t love an espresso mart followed by a woo woo? Available Monday to Friday 8pm to 10pm, or on Saturdays between 9pm and 11pm.
Theatrix, City Centre
A good one if you’re less bothered about cocktails and prefer beer and fizz. From 4pm to 7pm everyday (except Saturday) you can get 2 pints for £7 and bottles of Prosecco for £18. They often have offers on small plates too if you want to line your stomach.
Indian Streatery, City Centre
A great option if you’re also hoping to have a stonking meal, this relaxed restaurant offers 2 cocktails for £10 from Monday-Saturday 12pm-7pm. The cocktail list changes every so often but you can expect a fun concept as all of the drinks are named after members of the family. ‘Angry Dad’, anyone?
Noel’s Restaurant, Mailbox
This new canal-side venue not only offers 241 cocktails all day – all pizzas are currently buy one get one free too. The offer applies 3pm to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, with a selection of classic cocktails to pick from. Take a mate and share a pizza with a cocktail each for around £10pp.
Bodega, City Centre
Here you can get 2 cocktails (including frozen rum slushes) for £9 until 7:30pm each day. On Sundays the happy hour runs all day, so you can get sloshed and eat nachos like a hero anytime you like. It’s what Jesus would have wanted.
The Ruin, Digbeth
I love this shabby chic pub. Here you’ll find 2 beers, wines or ciders for £7 from 5-7pm Monday to Friday. Ideal for after work drinks if you work around the Custard Factory area, and there’s usually some cute dogs knocking around to pet/talk to.
The Rose Villa Tavern, Jewellery Quarter
Happy hour cocktails are 2 for £9 from Monday to Friday 4-8pm and again all day on Sundays. They’re not doing food at the moment but there’s a weekly pub quiz every Tuesday that coincides with the happy hour.
Gas Street Social, Mailbox
Between 4-7pm every week day you can get your hands on 2 for £10 selected cocktails. There’s a sunshine filled terrace to enjoy your drinks overlooking the canal and you can get 241 burgers every Wednesday, if you need feeding, too.
Flight Club, City Centre
One for the fizz fans! Every day between 3pm and 7pm you can get various deals on fizz, including £5 glasses of Prosecco and £7 glasses of champagne. You can also get offers by the bottle if you fancy getting properly pissed while you play posh darts. Yay!
Mama Roux’s, Digbeth
All sorts here! It’s 2 cocktails for £10 Wednesday to Friday from 5-7pm, £3.50 will get you a pint every Wednesday night and £15 will get you a bottle of fizz if you visit on a Sunday. Cool venue with live music and street food available.
Dirty Martini, City Centre
One of the longest deals available, you can get half price cocktails Monday to Friday all the way to 8pm. Another deal that goes down well with regulars is the £12 bottle of wine, available during the same hours.
The Victoria, City Centre
“But Laura, I work at the weekends..” You will not beat me, Sharon – I got you. Just £9 will bag you two cocktails from a selected list Friday to Sunday from 4-8pm. You’re welcome.
Rev De Cuba, City Centre
The happy hour in the downstairs bar here includes 241 on all cocktails and pints of Mahou are just £3.50. It’s valid between 3-7pm Monday to Friday.
Cielo, Brindleyplace
If you like to get started early on a Friday, how about unlimited fizz with a meal overlooking the square. On Friday afternoons this Italian restaurant throws their take on happy hour with limitless Prosecco and 2-3 courses for under £40pp.
The Bull’s Head, Broad Street
You can get 241 on all classic martinis here, including a pretty good espresso mart if that’s your bag. So that’s 2 cocktails for £12 and the offer runs all day every day too, even Saturday nights. Right by Cineworld off Broad Street so a handy venue for a pre cinema date night tipple.
Be At One, Brindleyplace
Here you’ll find 241 cocktails Monday to Thursday from 5pm-8pm, except Fridays when it runs starts at 3pm. There’s some weekend happy hours too so check the website ahead of visiting. Heads up, this is smaller than the venue by New Street – if you want to dance head there. Pretty much the same happy hour applies there.
Las Iguanas, City Centre / Brindleyplace
Like or hate the place, the happy hour is a beast. You can get 241 cocktails pretty much constantly and (if you pick the Brindleyplace venue) you’ve got a sunny terrace to enjoy them all.
O Bar, Broad Street
You can get 2 for £10 on all your standard basic hun cocktails here, including pornstar martinis etc. The offer runs daily until 10pm.
That’s your lot. Remember to drink responsibly. Unless it’s been one of those days in which case have another negroni, get a kebab on the way home and remember to have a pint of water by your bed.
