Rejoice, fans of street food. The almighty Digbeth Dining Club has added an extra day to its weekly run. Happy new year!
When the popular Birmingham street food destination reopens at Spotlight towards the end of January, you’ll now find your favourite vendors (plus some new ones) trading from Thursday through to Saturday. Remaining at the same Lower Trinity Street site, the official relaunch will take place on Thursday 25th January – ain’t that just the best belated Christmas present ever?
DDC is a hugely popular destination for hungry Brummies seeking exceptional eats and a drink (or 5) without the faff of a sit down meal. Successful city centre restaurants such as Meat Shack and Original Patty Men made names for themselves at this weekly event, and the list of traders and food offerings continues to grow. Additionally, the guys will also be putting on live music nights for visitors to enjoy.
You’ll find all sorts of fantastic independent businesses offering some seriously good eats, from award winning burgers (hello Flying Cows!) to Lebanese inspired dishes, slow cooked meats, waffles, and pizza. The trader selection changes frequently so it’s worth keeping an eye on the Twitter page, where they also hold a weekly giveaway to land free food.
You can find out more information on the DDC website and the weekly line ups can be found via their social media channels. Don’t forget, if you have an Independent Birmingham card you can get 50p off any dish you buy.
If you’ve not been yet (seriously, where have you been?!) get yourself there as soon as it opens. This expansion is a great thing for the boys and a fucking brilliant start to 2018 for us food fiends.
