When Colmore Food Festival returns in July visitors are in for a treat, if the menu sneak peek is to be believed.
As I told you in April, this popular free festival is due to return to Victoria Square 5-6th July, with over 30 Colmore based traders offering dishes and drinks. And we now know what will be available to eat and drink over the weekend.
Michelin star restaurant Adam’s will be offering a heritage tomato and goats cheese tart, which you could wash down with a strawberry daiquiri from Purnell’s. Maybe you’d prefer the salt beef brisket pastrami with homemade pickles from OPUS with an orange wine from Loki. What about Asha’s lamb saffron biryani and a refreshing lager from The Wellington? All sounds pretty good from where I’m standing.
Others taking part include Gaucho, Hotel du Vin, Wayland’s Yard, Purecraft Bar and more. Extra info about the festival – including traders and dishes – can be found via the official website.
This Colmore BID event caters for any and all tastes, and also highlights some of the long-standing hidden gems you might have forgotten about. There’s also live cooking demos and entertainment both days.
This festival is a great way to get a taste of local bars, restaurants and cafes without spending a fortune. All dishes are capped at £4, no tickets are required and the two day event is open to all.
