Earlier this week I attended the Laghi’s Deli x Sacred Spirits dinner, that at just £40 a ticket was decent value for a cheeky night out.
Today’s post includes the highlights from this five course meal with cocktail pairings, to show you why it’s worth keeping an eye out for upcoming collaborations.
Teaming up with boozy brand Sacred Spirits, Laghi’s Deli provided five courses paired with five bespoke drinks, curated by (the lovely) Luke from The Vanguard. Taking a flavoursome trot around Italy via Edgbaston, the one-off dinner had plenty to offer, including a lovely crowd of regulars getting involved.
I’ve reviewed Laghi’s Deli previously, if you want to know more about the regular menu, but it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for these one-off events. Here’s the highlights from the dinner.
Sourdough rosemary focaccia, seasoned olives and extra virgin olive oil (served with a grapefruit gin and tonic)
Parmesan foam and crispy Parma ham (served with a negroni)
Bruschetta with vine tomatoes, basil and buffalo mozzarella (served with a rosehip spritz)
Gnocchi, Gorgonzola, saffron and walnuts (served wither an amber vermouth martini)
Mascarpone cream with homemade biscotto (served with a slow gin espresso martini)
