Craft lager specialist, Freedom Brewery, is making steps to grow the brand across the West Midlands, having hosted its first event in Birmingham on Monday (7th Feb) at The Stable.
The two-hour event featured a beer tasting master class with Head Brewer, Joe McCarrick, alongside food courtesy of the popular city centre bar, and entertainment from local Birmingham musician Call Me Unique.
Guests of the exclusive event – designed to introduce Freedom Brewery to the city’s best and brightest – included local food and drink bloggers, beer influencers and local media and businesses.
Following the event brewer Joe said:
“It was great to spend an evening in our biggest neighbouring city talking about our beers. Showcasing the Freedom Brewery experience at a hands-on event was a great way to welcome in February!
“All of our beers are naturally carbonated for a finer, smoother bubble. We use only the best ingredients and meticulously craft our lagers with patience and a hell of a lot of effort. They’re also vegan and long matured for a minimum of 4 weeks for a fuller, more balanced flavour; all ofwhich makes all of our beers beautifully drinkable.”
Independently owed and run, the craft lager brewery offers draught, bottled, and canned beers including the Pale, Pils, Helles and – of course – the signature 100% British Freedom Lager.
A brewery with a clear ethos, the Freedom pledge is ‘beer brewed better’ – better for taste, better for you, better for the environment around you. Their beers are naturally carbonated and matured for longer to provide both depth of flavour and sessionability, using mineral water sourced from directly beneath the brewery, at their award-winning eco-brewery.
Based in Staffordshire, the brewery sits in the heart of Abbots Bromley. A rural village known for its water, the natural spring beneath the brewery is used to create the beloved Freedom taste – it’s truly unique.
Head of Marketing, Laura Mitchell, said:
“Nestled on the side of a small valley with a spectacular view of the countryside, our brewery is the perfect place to focus on our beers. We brew all of our beer here and nowhere else, and our brewery is setup with some of the latest technology and sustainable brewing practices to show this is how good a beer should be.
“Bringing sustainable beer production to the Midlands, with a focus on quality, at Freedom we go the extra mile to ensure the best taste experience every time. As part of our growth strategy for 2022, Freedom Brewery will be hosting more events this year to raise awareness and affinity for the brand in Birmingham and across the Midlands.”
