Fans of the unhelpful nonsense – your time has come! If you’ve ever wanted to get drunk with me, now’s your chance…
As requested, I’m putting together some semi-regular meet ups and the first one is ready to go. Falling at the same time as BYB turns 5, the idea of these is for you to meet likeminded people, make some new friends and share a fun evening at a great Brum independent.
Meet new people, network, try a new place, get pissed, chat about food, snog in corners, eat crisps… whatever you like. But make sure you share your crisps. The idea is you can come solo and make new friends (if not I’ll awkwardly introduce you to people with your favourite cheese or a drunken anecdote) but if you’re more comfortable coming with a pal just grab more tickets.
Hopefully we can do this quarterly and the aim is to be in a different venue each time. They’ll always be midweek because let’s be honest the days prior to Friday are quite shite. There’s limited spaces and a small fee (£8) is required to bag your space – but ALL money will go directly to local charities.
So, without further waffle, the first meet up is at Sobremesa at Custard Factory on Thursday 28th April, and we’ll be supporting a great local charity I’m a member of: Love Brum. The bar is also kindly donating 10% of its profits on the night to the charity, too!
Kick off is 7pm. There’s a max 50 spaces available and to save any awkwardness on the night you will need one per person – the only plus one I want you to bring unannounced is your dog. Please bring your dog.
All the details about the meet up and tickets are available here. See you there?
