Big things are coming to Birmingham in the next few months, including a brand new outdoor bar and street food experience that’s set to take over Digbeth Arena. Say hello to Luna Springs.
Launching on April 12th – the same day the first wave of UK hospitality restrictions lift – Luna Springs is named after The Lunar Society of Birmingham (an 18th century club for intellectuals that would meet on every full moon… yes, really) and will offer drinks, street food and live music.
The venue itself is absolutely massive (although it’ll have a phased opening with space for 400 guests initially) and sits slap bang in the centre of Digbeth’s hub, with Digbeth Dining Club, Zumhof and The Nightowl for neighbours.
While initially it’ll be a seated/table service venue only, the plan is to turn Luna Springs into an outdoor party space to dance the night away. Maybe even hug people – imagine the scenes. The food traders are largely going to be from the Midlands so you can expect to see some familiar names.
The same bods are behind cocktail bar Tonight Josephine, that opens opposite New Street station in May having been heavily delayed due to Covid.
