We all love a bank holiday, right? Well I know I do, and that’s not just for the extra few hours I get to have in bed come Monday morning. The spring bank holidays are always a great time to head out into Brum and discover what some of your favourite bars and restaurants have to offer.
With competition between eateries and pubs stiff over the long weekend, you can be sure that many will be offering deals to grab your attention. I’ve put together 6 of the top bank holiday food and drink offers I’ve come across on social media for those of you who may be looking for a little bit of inspiration when it comes to where to spend your hard earned cash this weekend.
Lost and Found
A favourite with city centre dwellers, Lost and Found is a popular hotspot for cocktail lovers. This bank holiday the team will be offering cocktails from £5 and £3.50 pints of Amstel and small glasses of house wine from 5pm.
8 Bennett’s Hill, Birmingham, B2 5RS
Love cocktails? From Friday 4pm until Monday close The Vic is offering 2 handcrafted cocktails for £8. Choices include the El Diablo which if you like tequila will rock your socks off.
48 John Bright Street, Birmingham, B1 1BN
On Monday Moseley’s beautiful Cheval Blanc wine bar and kitchen is offering a bargain value menu. You’ll be able to get two courses for £12.50 or three for £17.50, and choices include braised lamb, and chocolate pear cake.
145 Alcester Rd, Birmingham, B13 8JP
The Old Crown
If the sun makes an appearance head to The Old Crown beer garden. The oldest pub in Brum is offering 2 burgers for £10 including the awesome Spaniard burger, and they have some fab ales too.
188 High Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B12 0LD
Buffalo & Rye
If you’re hankering for some comfort food, the Combo Deal at Buffalo & Rye will be available all weekend. For £10.95 you can get your hands messy with a choice of main courses including ribs, and either a side, dessert or thick milkshake.
11 Bennetts Hill, Birmingham B2 5RS
The Broad Street favourite is offering 50% off mains all day on Bank Holiday Monday. There’s a superfood salad on the menu, by the way, so if you’ve had your fill of booze and fried stuff (it happens occasionally!) there’s a virtuous option even if your friends are pigging out.
Broad Street, Birmingham, B15 1AY
