When the Sadler’s pop-up closed a few months ago people were eager to see what the team would do next.
Well, having been for a sneak peek, I can tell you the space has been transformed into a permanent two-storey bar for food and drink on Harborne high street.
Brewer’s Social offers Sadler’s award-winning ales and spirits alongside collaborative and special edition brews, cocktails and grub in a relaxed bar setting. It’s a lovely space, with clear thought out into the decor, and the team heading it up are really happy and on it – makes such a difference to the overall experience.
The venue’s menu features all-day brunch and light bites, home-smoked meat and fish, bar snacks, butties, cakes and pastries, and soft serve ice cream. A different evening menu boasts the likes of Chicken Wings, Mud City Baby Back Ribs, Smoked Brisket in Sadler’s Ale Sauce and Truffle Mac and Cheese.
Supporting other local traders, the venue is also serving hot drinks (including coffee from Quarter Horse Coffee) and Pip’s Hot Sauce on the table to dip your nibbles in.
This the third permanent venue in its expanding portfolio which includes Sadler’s Brewhouse & Bar in Lye and Sadler’s Taproom Quinton. A new venue is coming to Brindleyplace soon too. Being that I live around that area I’m already looking forward to having my own bar stool.
Find it: 77 High Street, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9NS
The bar is open to the public from Friday 27th September. I popped along to one of the soft launches as a guest of the venue.
