Getting festively plump @ Original Patty Men

restaurants, Review / Wednesday, December 13th, 2017

Realising it was just two weeks until Christmas, and struggling to feel remotely festive, the latest Original Patty Men special couldn’t have come at a better time. What better way to get into the spirit than with a burger covered in sprouts, eh?

I saw the Everyday I’m Brusselin (£9.50) on the OPM twitter page and the minute I read what it had on it I knew I needed it in my life. Aside from the usual aged long horn patty the guys always serve up, this beauty was topped with sprout, cranberry and walnut slaw, stilton, spiced onion chutney and chunks of garlic and red wine Tamworth sausage meat.

It was, quite frankly, delicious. Without doubt of the best OPM specials I’ve had – and I’ve had A LOT OF THEM. The slaw was inspired and the combination of sweet and savoury flavours made for a truly special burger.

The other special on the menu was Poutine Fries (£4.00). Salty chips covered in gravy and cheese curd with hot pink pickled onion slices. God bless Christmas!

This special is set to run for a week so get yourself down to the arches and festive the fuck out of yourself.

Have you visited? Do you have any menu favourites? Let me know in the comments.

Disclosure: I paid for my meal in full despite offering to pay the boys in sprouts, the official Christmas currency
