Fancy a festive meal with a bit of a twist?
Baked in Brick has got a Christmas menu available during December – and it’s pretty damn good.
The Custard Factory restaurant is offering 3 courses for £25 (lunch is £20) including pizzas, street food and puds all the way up to Christmas. It’s all festive themed and, most importantly to me, you can have cheese at every course of you wish.
If that doesn’t scream Christmas to you, perhaps the pulled smoked turkey pizza or the posh pigs in blankets starter using Tuscan sausages might swing it for you?
My top picks are the simple but sexy baked Camembert starter that comes served with a wood-fired flatbread, and the crispy pork belly main with pork fat roasted sprouts and sourdough stuffing crumb served in yorkie puds with lots of meat juice. Heavenly.
This option is available by booking and pre-ordering ahead (regular BIB menu still available daily) and you can see the full menu here. Puddings aren’t that memorable but the savoury bits are decent, service is friendly, and you can use your IB card for 15% off the bill. Bosh.
A gimmick I can get on board with – merry bloody Christmas, ya’ll.

Disclosure: We paid in full, obviously. All words and photos are mine, although I think BiB may be behind my new found Christmas spirit and the gravy stain down my top.
